During his meeting with Italian Prime Minister (PM) Giorgia Meloni in Rome, Jordan’s King Abdullah II emphasized that granting the Palestinian people their full legitimate rights, in accordance with the two-state solution, is the only path to achieving stability in the region.
The King stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to reach a comprehensive ceasefire, maintain the truce in Gaza, and support its reconstruction without the displacement of its residents.
He also underscored the urgent need to resume the entry of humanitarian aid to alleviate civilian suffering, highlighting Italy's significant role in providing assistance to the people of Gaza.
He expressed his appreciation for Italy’s contribution to the humanitarian air bridge.
Regarding the West Bank and Jerusalem, King Abdullah II warned of the dangers posed by Israel’s military operations in the West Bank and its unilateral measures, cautioning that these actions could lead to an escalation of the conflict.
