On Saturday, Jordan's King Abdullah II revealed: "The bloodshed we are witnessing today is the price of that, of failing to make tangible progress towards a political horizon that brings peace for Palestinians and Israelis alike."

His statements came during his speech at the Cairo Summit for Peace.

King Abdullah called for an immediate end to the war on Gaza, the protection of civilians, and adoption of unified position that indiscriminately condemns targeting of civilians, in line with shared values & international law, which loses all value if implemented selectively.

He also asserted the rejection of the forced displacement or internal displacement of the Palestinians, describing it as a war crime according to international law.

During his speech, the King reviewed the acts of violence against Palestinians including starving them and attacking innocent civilians cruelly.

He also called for the necessity of a sustained and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, fuel, food, and medicine to the Gaza Strip

King Abdullah also tanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for convening this meeting during these difficult times.
