On Saturday, in a rare emotional scene, leader Kim Jong Un apologized for failing to improve North Koreans' lives.

Kim's speech came during a huge military parade, organized on to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the Labor Party.

Kim used the occasion to send messages to his people, dedicating some words to his partners and rivals in the world.

The North Korean leader blamed international restrictions, hurricanes and the Coronavirus, saying these are the reasons that prevented him from fulfilling his promises about economic progress.

The North Korean leader said, "I feel ashamed that I could not properly reward you for your tremendous confidence."

"My efforts were not sufficient to rescue our people from their difficult livelihoods."

He appeared emotional during his speeches and thanked the military for their hard work to confront natural disasters and prevent the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
