The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cairo, Mansurbek Kilichev, stated that the current period is witnessing intensive visits by Uzbek delegations aimed at enhancing economic cooperation in the fields of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Textiles.
He specified that an Uzbek delegation representing the "IT Park" for Information Technology will visit Egypt from December 8 to 11 to seek partnership opportunities with Egyptian companies.
In a statement to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) today, Thursday, the Ambassador added that the Uzbek delegation will hold meetings with officials at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology regarding ways to support bilateral cooperation in this field, in addition to holding bilateral meetings with Egyptian companies.
Moreover, Uzbek ambassador pointed out that the "IT Park," inaugurated in 2019, is the first IT complex in Tashkent, hosting 28 new startups, launching dozens of projects in the IT sector, and organizing training courses and workshops to encourage youth to work in this field.
Kilichev also reported that an Uzbek delegation representing both the Bukhara Cotton Textile Company and the Tashkent Cotton Textile Company will participate in the Yarn and Textile Exhibition to be held in Egypt from December 4 to 7. He noted that the two companies are looking to open new horizons for cooperation and seek partners in this sector.
