Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khatabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, participated in the graduation of the 34th Master’s class at the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism.
Khatabi, a member of the Center’s Advisory Board, joined prominent figures including former Minister Dr. Hala El-Said and United Media Services COO Hossam Saleh. The ceremony showcased student projects focused on rural development and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in modern newsrooms.
Highlighting the "vital role of media in the digital age," Khatabi praised the ongoing cooperation between the Arab League and AUC in fostering media expertise. He congratulated the international cohort of graduates, emphasizing the importance of ethical journalism amidst rapid technological shifts. The event also honored industry veterans Samir Omar and Karim Hatem for their distinguished professional contributions.
