Key Discussions on African Peace and Security in Accra

Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf discussed the latest developments in crisis hotspots and other threats to peace and security in the African continent with African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat.

The discussion took place on the sidelines of their participation in the 45th Session of the African Union Executive Council in Accra, which commenced on Thursday.

According to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting provided an opportunity for an in-depth discussion on major issues and matters related to the political, economic, and developmental challenges and stakes facing the continent.

The statement added that the two parties discussed several topics concerning upcoming commitments both within the African Union and externally between the African Union and its international partners.
