American actress Kate Hudson is the latest to join Netflix’s highly-anticipated “Knives Out” sequel.

The sequel also stars Daniel Craig, Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, and Edward Norton.

In March, Netflix closed a deal north of $400 million for the next two installments, a historic deal for streamers.

Plot details are unknown at this time other than Craig reprising his role as inspector Benoit Blanc to solve another mystery revolving around a large cast of suspects.

Production is set to start this summer in Greece. The sequel is written and directed by Rian Johnson, who is also set to produce along with Ram Bergman under their T-Street banner.

The original murder mystery acclaimed movie was released in 2019 and starred Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Michael Shannon, and Toni Collette.

It centered around Blanc who along with his partner Lieutenant Elliott (LaKeith Stanfield) is tasked with finding out who killed beloved mystery author Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer).

The original movie earned about $311.3 million in the box-office worldwide from just a $40 million budget. In March, Netflix streaming company acquired the rights to the two sequels of “Knives Out”.

Hudson will be seen next in the Apple series "Truth Be Told" starring Octavia Spencer.
