Major General Kamal Amer representative of the "Homat Al-Watan" Party has been elected in the 2021 elections as chairman of the Bureau of Defense and National Security Committee in the Egyptian House of Representatives.
Amer’s victory comes after Major General Salah Abo Hmeila, the Republican People's Party, withdrew from the run-off in favor of Amer, affirming his pride and appreciation for him.
