Kadyrov: Azovstal Will Fall under Russian Control Thursday

Head of Chechen Ramzan Kadyrov said that Azovstal Steel in Mariupol, eastern Ukraine, will fall under Russian Control today, Thursday.

“Today, before or after lunch, Azovsal plant will be completely under Russian control,” Kadyrov said on Telegram early Thursday morning.

The head of Chechen added that the Ukrainian forces who were besieged in the plant have still the chance to surrender this morning, noting that Russia will take “the appropriate decision” if they surrender.

March 1, the Russian forces completely besieged Maripol, in southeastern Ukraine.

According to Russian information, about 2500 Ukraine soldiers and 400 mercenaries are holed up inside Azovstal steel in the city.

Ukraine reports indicate that about 1000 civilians are still holed up inside the plant.
