Jury Votes for Farouk Hosny Prize for Photography Semi-finalists

On Sunday, the jury of Farouk Hosny Prize for Photography held a voting session to choose qualified participants to the semi final contests.

The jury started evaluating the 231 submitted artworks based on creativity, lighting, composition, resolution and direction.

It is worthy to mention that the jury consists of a number of iconic artists: Ayman Lotfy, Emad Abdel Hadi, and Galal El Missary.

The total of the prizes amount is 100.000 LE: 50.000 for the first place, 30.000 LE for the second one, and 20.000 for the third.

The names of the qualified artists who will participate in the semi-final rounds will be announced later after concluding the process of evaluation.

The qualified works to the final round will be exhibited, in addition the foundation will organize a ceremony for announcing the prizes’ winners at at Al Gazira Museum, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Social Solidarity.

Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts is an independent institution, based in Zamalek. Established at the end of 2019, it aims to support young artists in various branches of arts, culture, and creativity.
