Junior Companies’ Contest Entitled 'Creative Circles' Launched

Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, said that investing in the cultural and creative industries sector is one of the main axes of the ministry's programs.

Abdel Dayem stressed that the project seeks to strengthen the creative economy system and provides job opportunities to achieve the axes of sustainable development in Egypt's Vision 2030.

Abdel Dayem noted that the competition aims to discover the projects and initiatives of economic feasibility that could be developed to a cultural project in these creative junior companies to grow and extend.

Moreover, the winners will get the opportunity to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture or contribute to the implementation of the project according to the Ministry's programs.

It is noteworthy that competition is concerned with creative companies or institutions that provide cultural or artistic goods or services.

Its conditions are:

- The teamwork should not be less than three members and not more than 5 members.

- The founders must be Egyptians or the institution must be legally registered in Egypt- for governmental organizations, private company or civil institution.

- The age of the founders should not be less than 18 years old -with a preference for young people.

- The existence of a business model that achieves a profit margin.

- The existence of the economic feasibility of the project.

- The existence of the social feasibility of implementing the project .

- The existence of a proposal and answering all the questions of the application form .

- It is preferable to have practical or academic experiences.

- The team work should be related to the nature of the project or to any of the branches of the business .

- The superiority is for the variation of professional or academic experiences of the members of the team work or founders .

- The teamwork should provide its information from original sources such as “ the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics “ or any of “the universities research centers “ or the international agencies such as “the United Nations” or the periodicals and scientific references.

It is worthy of note that the competition jury consists of : Dr. Safwat Al-Nahhas, Rapporteur of the Cultural Administration Development Committee and its legislation in the Supreme Council for Culture, Dr. Heba Medhat Zaki, Professor in the Faculty of Economy and Political Science, Jamal Al-Kul, Investment Director of Airgo Media Ventures.

Moreover, the Creative Circles program aims to help young cultural and creative entrepreneurs to acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and basic sciences to launch their creative projects through the training program and competition for junior creative companies that provide cultural and artistic goods, services or idea
