The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts hot and humid weather across most parts of the country during Sunday's daytime hours, with extremely hot conditions expected to continue over South Upper Egypt.

Humidity levels are expected to increase the feeling of heat by 1 to 2 degrees above the actual temperatures recorded in the shade.

Early morning conditions will be relatively moderate and humid, while moderate and humid weather is expected to prevail across most regions during the evening. South Upper Egypt will experience moderately hot conditions at night.

The EMA also warned of mist and occasional dense fog forming between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on roads leading to and from northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, which may reduce horizontal visibility in some areas.

Winds with speeds ranging between 30 and 35 km/h are expected to blow intermittently over Greater Cairo, South Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea governorate.

The authority also indicated a slight chance of low clouds developing over parts of the northern coasts, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities, which could bring light, non-impactful drizzle to isolated areas.

The forecast maximum temperatures are expected to reach 35°C in Cairo, 31°C in Alexandria, 29°C in Marsa Matruh, 39°C in Sohag, 41°C in Qena, and 41°C in Aswan.
