US Independence Day is observed every year by Americans across the world on July 4.

Independence Day or the Fourth of July is a very special occasion for all Americans, as it represents an opportunity to mark the democratic principles that were the basis of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

In the USA, the day is celebrated by grand fireworks displays, large outdoor gatherings for barbecues, and patriotic parades adorned with stars and stripes, taking place across the country.

It is also an important day to reflect on the strength of the U.S.-Egypt partnership.

On the occasion of America’s Independence Day, the American Embassy in Cairo said: "We're excited to officially celebrate with our Egyptian friends later this month."

After the Independence War of 1812 between the United States and the Kingdom of Great Britain, the tradition of celebrating patriotism on July 4 became more widespread.

In 1870, the U.S. Congress declared July 4 as a federal holiday, and in 1941, it was expanded to grant federal employees a paid holiday.
