The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts hot and humid weather across most parts of the country on Saturday, with extremely hot conditions expected over Upper Egypt.
Warm and humid weather will prevail during the early morning hours, while hot and humid conditions are expected throughout the day across most regions. The northern coasts will experience relatively hot weather, while mild to warm and humid conditions are expected during the night.
The EMA noted that high humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, making the weather feel significantly hotter than the recorded temperatures.
Light to moderate mist is expected to form between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. over northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt. The mist may become dense at times on some roads.
There is also a slight chance of low clouds developing over parts of the northern coasts, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities, with the possibility of light, non-impactful drizzle in isolated areas.
Intermittent winds with speeds ranging between 30 and 35 km/h are expected over the northwestern coasts and northern Nile Delta, helping to moderate nighttime temperatures.
The authority also warned of active winds along the beaches of El Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Baltim, and Port Said, causing waves to rise between 1.5 and 2 meters.
The expected maximum and "feels like" temperatures are as follows:
Greater Cairo: 36°C (feels like 38°C)
Nile Delta: 35°C (feels like 37°C)
Northwestern Coast: 31°C (feels like 34°C)
Northeastern Coast: 34°C (feels like 37°C)
North Upper Egypt: 39°C (feels like 41°C)
South Upper Egypt: 42°C (feels like 42°C)
