American actress Julia Stiles shared details about her upcoming Orphan prequel, "Orphan: First Kill".
During Collider Ladies Night, the actress unveiled what made her commit to "Orphan: First Kill" despite not being the biggest genre fan and her concerns over returning to work during the coronavirus pandemic.
Stiles noted that she doesn't watch horror movies, however, the script was so good that she couldn’t put it down and was so surprised by the twist, noting: "I’m not gonna give away that I think you’ll like it.”

News of the project first broke in November 2020 when filming was already underway. William Brent Bell stepped in to direct the movie, which brings back Isabelle Fuhrman as Leena, a 33-year-old woman who posed as nine-year-old Esther Coleman in the 2009 original.
"Orphan: First Kill" wrapped principal photography in December.
The prequel centers around what occurred when Leena escapes from an Estonian psychiatric facility and makes her way to the United States by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. This is now where Stiles’ character comes in. In the US, Leena posing as “Esther” finds herself facing off against a mother (Stiles) who will do whatever is necessary to protect her family.
