Jordan's King Abdullah II issued a royal decree on Thursday, announcing a cabinet reshuffle to appoint 11 new ministers. He also accepted the resignation of other eight ministers.
The ministerial reshuffle included the appointment Dr. Mohieldin Shaaban Touq as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Tayseer Menezel Al Nuaimi as Minister of Education, Dr. Saleh Ali Al-Kharabsheh as Minister of Environment, Engineer Ibrahim Sobhi Al-Shehadeh as Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammad Mahmoud Al-Assas as Minister of Finance, and Amjad Ouda as Minister of state for Media Affairs.
The Jordanian King also appointed Mohammed Ahmad Al-Khalayleh as Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Bassem Mohammed Al-Tuwaisi as Minister of Culture, Dr. Faris Abdul Hafez Al-Buraizat as Minister of Youth, Dr. Wissam Adnan Rabadi as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Dr. Khalid Walid Saif as Minister of Transport.
The ministers were sworn in before King Abdullah II at the Husseiniya Palace in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Omar Razzaz, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yusuf Hassan Al-Issawi, and King's Advisor for Communication and Coordination Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh.
Jordan’s King also accepted the resignation of 8 ministers, including, Dr. Rajai Saleh Al-Muasher, Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Nasser Musa Abu Al-Bassal, Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Ezzedine Mohiuddin Kanakriyah, Minister of Finance, Jumana Suleiman Ghanimat, Minister of State for Media Affairs, Eng. Ibrahim Sobhi Al-Shehadeh, Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Eng. Anmar Fouad Al-Khasawneh, Minister of Transport, Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Abu Rumman, Minister of Culture and Youth, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Assas, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Minister of State for Economic Affairs.
King Abdullah II expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the resigned ministers for their efforts during their tenure.
The Jordanian Prime Minister stressed that the reshuffle comes in accordance with the requirements of the next stage, expressing his thanks to all ministers for their efforts during the last period.
