King Abdullah II of Jordan heads to Cairo to meet President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to discuss the developments in Gaza, and the means for reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Jordanian Royal Court announced on X.
Earlier, Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shukri received Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
During the meeting, Shoukry stressed Egypt’s constant keenness to enhance consultation and coordination with Jordan, whether at the summit or ministerial level, in order to confront common challenges and work to find solutions to political crises and the security that prevails in the region.
He also pointed out to the importance of continuing bilateral efforts to deepen and expand economic and trade cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and removing any obstacles in this regard.
