The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan Dr. Ayman Safadi announced, on Tuesday, that his country supports Egypt's position regarding the issue of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), especially since Cairo is committed to consensual solutions and the rules of international law.

Safadi added during a joint press conference with his Egyptian and Iraqi counterparts, that Arab water security is an urgent necessity to achieve the joint Arab security.

The minister expressed appreciation for the Egyptian effort in resolving the Libyan crisis, especially as these efforts aim to preserve the unity of Libya within the framework of the United Nations, in a way that preserves the stability of Libya and the security of Libya's neighboring countries.

He stressed that there is a common vision on the Palestinian issue, as the continuation of the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel represents a threat to the region, while achieving peace is a priority for the sake of everyone’s security.

On the other hand, Safadi called for preserving the stability of Iraq and protects it from the repercussions of any regional differences.

He also stressed the need to enhance the food security of the three countries within the framework of Arab integration and cooperation.
