Jordanian King Abdullah II reaffirmed that the two-state solution is the only viable path to achieving lasting stability in the region, highlighting the importance of the upcoming United Nations conference in New York, scheduled to take place from June 17 to 20.
The event is being co-organized by France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the King’s remarks came during separate meetings held on Monday in Nice, France, with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
These meetings are part of the King's continued diplomatic efforts to rally international support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and to ensure their steadfast presence on their land.
The discussions also covered recent regional developments.
King Abdullah II emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, and the cessation of unilateral actions in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
