Jordan's King Abdullah II affirmed that Israeli government practices are reducing opportunities for peace, stressing that the two-state solution is the only way to ensure security and stability in the region.
This statement came during King Abdullah’s meeting on Sunday at Al Husseiniya Palace with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, where they discussed the serious developments in the region.
In the presence of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Jordanian King emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to achieve a comprehensive de-escalation to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region and globally. He also called for an immediate halt to the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon.
The meeting, according to a statement from the Royal Court, was attended by Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, the King's Office Director, Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and the French Ambassador to Amman, Alexis Le Cour Grandmaison.
