Jordanian King Abdullah II emphasized the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, pointing to the role of the international community in pushing towards this direction.
This came during his meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a group of governors from the Republican and Democratic parties, to discuss regional developments and the dangerous situation in Gaza, as well as ways to enhance economic cooperation between Jordan and their states in various fields, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today, Saturday.
King Abdullah stressed the importance of intensifying humanitarian aid to Gaza and ensuring its continuous and safe delivery to various areas of the sector.
Moreover, he warned of the dangerous situation in the West Bank, which, if it continues, could lead to a wider conflict in the region.
