The Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ayman Al-Safadi, met with his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaibani, on the sidelines of the preparatory session of the foreign ministers before the extraordinary Arab summit, the “Palestine Summit.”
During the meeting, the two sides discussed developments in the situation in Syria and the Arab arena.
Al-Safadi stressed Jordan's position in support of Syria, its security, stability and unity.
Al-Safadi also affirmed his condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, warning of the disastrous consequences towards the security and stability of the region.
He stressed the necessity of activating international law and Israel’s withdrawal from all Syrian territory.
The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation, in order to develop bilateral relations in various fields.
