The Jordanian Armed Forces dispatched a mobile bakery to Lebanon on Thursday via the Jaber border crossing, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, as part of the Kingdom's efforts to support the Lebanese people and provide humanitarian aid to affected areas.
The bakery consists of three trucks equipped with the latest bread-making systems, with a capacity of up to 3,500 loaves per hour, equivalent to approximately 70,000 loaves daily, to meet the food needs of residents in crisis-affected areas.
The Jordanian Armed Forces affirmed that this step comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief role that the Kingdom plays in supporting its brothers and sisters in facing challenges and humanitarian needs, by harnessing its logistical and technical capabilities to provide the necessary assistance.
Jordan has implemented several relief initiatives for Lebanon in recent months, including sending six land convoys comprising 130 trucks loaded with food, medical supplies, and relief aid, as part of its support for humanitarian efforts and to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
