On Monday, Jordan's Ambassador to Cairo Amgad Aladalia and Minister Inas Abdel Daim of Culture met to discuss further cooperation in various cultural fields.
During their meeting at Opers House, they also discussed the criteria of resumption of cultural activities between the two countries after a year of Covid-19 lockdown.
For his part, Alodiel said: "We are looking forward to constructive cooperation and enhance the mutual corporation in the culture and arts fields with the Egyptian authorities."
“COVID-19 pandemic has hit the cultural and creative economy all ever the Arab world. However, cultural activities are slowly being resumed. In order to encourage those persons and agencies providing cultural services, as well as stakeholders of such services, it is important to lay down comprehensive guidelines for resumption of these cultural activities in Egypt and Jordan,” said the Ministry.
The two officials characterized the upcoming Jarash festival as a significant event of bilateral cultural cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
Another important event in the framework of Egyptian-Jordanian cultural cooperation will be the grand opening of the book exhibition on Wednesday.
The two officials mentioned that these events provide continued strengthening of comprehensive cooperation between Jordan and Egypt in various cultural fields and more, according to domestic reports.
