Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, revealed that the Kingdom has received several requests to study the possibility of exporting Iraqi crude oil and heavy fuel oil through Jordanian territory.
In statements made Thursday evening, Kharabsheh explained that the relevant authorities have already begun studying these requests, taking into account the Kingdom's storage capacity, as well as the priority of maintaining strategic reserves to meet domestic needs.
He noted that the evaluation of the requests also includes technical and logistical aspects, particularly at the Port of Aqaba, including the capacity of the berths designated for exporting and importing crude oil and its derivatives.
