The Jordanian Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee decided Wednesday to raise the selling price of all types of gasoline stating tomorrow.
The pricing committee decided to raise the 90 octane gasoline to 920 fils per liter instead of 900 fils per liter, and to raise the selling price of 95 octane gasoline to 1,160 fils per liter instead of 1,140 fils, and the selling price of diesel was raised to 715 fils per liter instead of 705 fils.
On the other hand, it decided to fix the selling price of gas at 620 fils per liter, and to keep the selling price of a domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at 7 dinars/cylinder.
This came during its monthly meeting to determine the selling prices of petroleum derivatives locally for the period from 1-31 August.
The committee reviewed the international prices of crude oil and petroleum derivatives during the month of July and compared them to those of last June, as global price rates showed an increase in the prices of both types of gasoline (90 and 95) and diesel during the month of July.
After applying the price equation according to international prices on all petroleum derivatives, it was found that the price of gasoline 90 increased by 20 fils per liter, the price of gasoline 95 increased by 20 fils per liter, and the price of diesel increased by 10 fils per liter.
