Jordanian Army Foils Drone Drug Smuggling Attempt

The Jordanian army successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle drugs into the country using a drone, according to an official statement released on Monday.

A military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces reported that the Border Guard forces identified and stopped the drone as it attempted to cross the border. 

The source explained that after tracking the drone, the forces engaged it under the rules of engagement and managed to seize its cargo inside Jordanian territory. 

The seized materials were promptly transferred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

The source emphasized in the statement that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to leveraging all available resources and capabilities to prevent the entry of narcotics and protect the nation’s security.

 “The military will continue its efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of the Jordanian people and safeguard national security,” the source added.
