Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, confirmed the safe return of all members of the Jordanian Embassy staff in Tehran to the Kingdom yesterday.
Safadi stated during a session of the House of Representatives today, Wednesday, that the embassy had begun the evacuation process, and when the situation escalated, they returned to Jordan via Azerbaijan.
He emphasized that Jordan had clearly informed Iran of the necessity to cease any targeting of the Kingdom, stressing that Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens are a red line.
He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador in Amman two days prior, where he was given a firm message that Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens are a red line that cannot be crossed.
