United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister (PM) Boris Johnson said on Monday that the Coronavirus crisis has been a disaster for the country, according to Reuters.
In exclusive press statements to Times Radio, the British PM added that the government will look at what went wrong yet it is not the right time to have an inquiry into missteps.
“This has been a disaster,” Johnson confirmed. “Let’s not mince our words, I mean this has been an absolute nightmare for the country and the country has gone through a profound shock.”
Moreover, he added that the government owed it to all those who have died and suffered to look at exactly “what went wrong and when”.
Johnson said, though, that this was not the right time for an inquiry in the handling of the crisis.
“But we are learning lessons the whole time," he continued.
