U.S. First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff sparked controversy after they appeared to kiss on the lips before President Joe Biden’s annual State of the Union address.
Footage shows Biden approaching Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, and they held hands before their lips lock in what appears to be a very warm greeting.

The kiss went viral on social media, with users flocking to Twitter to express their shock over the "weird" moment.
The awkward encounter took place during Biden's speech, in which he outlined what 2023 will look like for the US.
The 80-year-old present highlighted his administration’s economic achievements since he took over from Donald Trump in 2021.
Before the event, “Stumbling, bumbling, he just can’t get the words out,” Trump said on Truth Social. “I don’t want that to happen, but the World is watching, and it's not a pretty sight!”
