Jihan Sadat, Zahi Hawass, Celebrities Celebrate Mostafa el-Feki’s Birthday

Mrs. Jihan Sadat, Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Osama Naqli, Dr. Amr Badr, a Tourist Expert, Sheikh Rashid bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Farouk Hosni, Former Minister of Culture, actresses Yousra, Laila Alawi and Director Inas Al-Deghaidi celebrated the birthday of Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Mostafa el-Feki, at Dr. Amr Badr home.

Dr. al-Feki is a prominent politician and MP; he holds a BA degree in Economics and Political Science and a PhD in Political Science from the University of London in 1977.

Dr. al-Feki was born on November 14, 1944 in Mahmudiya, Beheira Governorate, Egypt. He graduated from faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University in 1966.

At the beginning of his career, he worked at the Egyptian Embassy in Britain and India, and then was appointed in different political and diplomatic positions, including the secretary of former President Hosni Mubarak.

The Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina participated in many Arab and international conferences such as the Arab and African summits as well as the International Economic Forum in Switzerland.

He is interested in Arab national thought and has many writings that contributed to the establishment of deep relations with many Arab officials and intellectuals.

His articles are published in many Egyptian, Arab and foreign newspapers; he also wrote a number of famous international encyclopedias and many books including topics on social sciences and literature.

He also gave many lectures and speeches in many international forums, universities and councils.

He was nominated by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for the post of Secretary General of the Arab League in May, 2011.
