Jews settlers, supported by the Israeli occupation forces, stormed today, Sunday the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Wafa news agency reported.
The agency said, quoting local sources, which 119 Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.
Earlier, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the violations committed by Israeli extremists protected by the Israeli forces against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed Egypt’s rejection of these violations, stressing that Egypt has always warned against harming Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also indicated that the mosque is a place of worship for Muslims; hence, the Israeli authorities are responsible for protecting worshipers in order to maintain security and stability and refraining from everything that contributes to creating any tension or action that leads to escalation.
