Jennifer Lopez's "Marry Me" Release Pushed to May 2021

On Tuesday, the release date for the upcoming romantic-comedy "Marry Me", starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, which was previously set to hit the big screen over Valentine's Day, has been postponed.

Universal announced that the movie release date is postponed from Feb. 12, 2021, and will now be released in theaters on May 14.

"Marry Me" is packed with original songs by Lopez and Latin musician Maluma.

The movie is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby and centers around a pop superstar (Lopez) who, moments before marrying her rock-star finance(Maluma), discovers his infidelity, and spontaneously melts down on stage and picks a random, fan, math teacher (Wilson) out of the crowd to marry instead.

"Marry Me" is directed by Kat Coiro and written by John Rogers, Tami Sagher, and Harper Dill.

Lopez is also set to star alongside Armie Hammer in Lionsgate’s action-comedy movie “Shotgun Wedding”.

The movie is directed by Jason Moore and written by Liz Meriwether and Mark Hammer.

"Shotgun Wedding" revolves around a couple gathering their lovable but very opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding, and as they begin to get cold feet, suddenly, everyone’s lives are in danger when the entire party is taken, hostage.
