In a joint statement, they said that they are working through some things.
Furthermore, multiple sources revealed in press statements that they had never officially broken up and had talked about it but are still together.
The insiders added that the pair had hit a rough patch that made them think about what they should do.

The announcement comes after reports circulated Friday that they had split after a two-year engagement and four years of dating.
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019.
Earlier this year, Lopez opened up about having to postpone their wedding twice because of the ongoing coronavirus. She also shared last month that the two had gone to therapy together.
