The wife of Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Fumio Kishida will visit Washington early next week at the invitation of US first lady, Japanese government spokesman Hirokazu Matsuno announced on Friday.
The spokesman added that Yoko Kishida will meet US First Lady Jill Biden at the White House, during the three-day visit that extends from Sunday to next Tuesday.
Moreover, he added that the invitation proves that Japan and US have close relations that have become stronger than before, noting that he expects the visit to further enhance the friendly relations between the two sides.
