Japanese Foreign Minister (FM) Yoko Kamikawa agreed to maintain close contact with the Palestinian envoy in Tokyo to help stabilize the situation between Palestinians and Israelis.
According to NHK, Japanese FM met with Palestinian envoy to Japan Walid Siam on Monday.
Kamikawa expressed her concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Kamikawa announced that Japan will provide emergency aid worth $10 million to help civilians in Gaza.
Siam expressed his appreciation for the aid. The two sides agreed to work together to reach an early settlement to the situation.
