Affecting the southern regions of Japan, Typhoon Khanun has led to the cancellation of at least 360 flights on Wednesday, according to Japan's NHK channel.

The typhoon made landfall on the eastern side of Kyushu Island, causing widespread disruption to transportation and services.

Notably, the typhoon has brought about the suspension of high-speed train services and maritime ferry routes.

Kyushu Electric Power Company reported power outages in over 9,000 homes across Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures due to fallen power lines.

Over the past week, the relentless typhoon has unleashed heavy rains on the Japanese Okinawa Islands and Kyushu Island.

The torrential downpours have resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to more than 50 individuals so far. The typhoon continues to move northward, headed towards the Korean Peninsula.

With wind speeds ranging between 30 to 40 meters per second within the typhoon's path, authorities and residents are bracing for ongoing challenges posed by the storm's impact.

The disruption of essential services and travel plans underscores the significance of preparedness and swift response in the face of natural disasters.
