Jan 11: Moderately Weather Prevails across Egypt, Rainfall Expected

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderate weather to prevail in most parts of the country during Saturday's daylight hours.

Warm weather is also predicted to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt. 

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, North Coast, Sinai, Gulf of Suez, and North Upper Egypt.

Winds will be active across the country, stirring sand and dust in the South of the region.

Light to moderate rainfall, sometimes thunderstorms, will prevail intermittently in the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Sinai, Gulf of Suez, and Canal cities.

Light rain is also predicted to hit Cairo, at intermittent periods.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1 to 2 meters in height with northeast surface winds.

Extremely cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt in the early hours and at the end of the nighttime. Frost is expected in Central Sinai.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 19°C in Cairo, 19°C in Alexandria, 19°C in Marsa Matruh, 21°C in Sohag, 22°C in Qena, and 23°C in Aswan.
