Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has arrived in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, where leaders from Europe and various countries around the world are commemorating the second anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian war today, Saturday.
Acting as the current chair of the G7, Meloni will later today host a video conference from Kyiv, which will include participation from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A joint declaration from the conference is expected to be released later.
The G7 also includes the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, and Germany.
Ukrainian media reported that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is also visiting Ukraine and most leaders will join the meeting via a video link.
