Home of Italian World Cup hero Paolo Rossi was burgled, Saturday, during his funeral in in the north-eastern city of Vicenza, two days after his death, according to Italy's ANSA news agency.
Rossi's wife, Federica Cappelletti, has returned her Tuscany home from the funeral, and found it had been broken into, as thieves have taken advantage that it was empty.
ANSA reported that thieves had stolen a sum of money, reported to be no more than 100 euro, and some valuable watches belonging to Rossi the former striker.
The police will start investigating in the break-in.
His coffin was carried to the Santa Maria Annunciata cathedral by his teammates from the 1982 World Cup-winning side, including Marco Tardelli, Giancarlo Antognoni, Antonio Cabrini and Fulvio Collovati.

“I have not only lost a team mate, but also a friend and a brother,” Cabrini said during the service.
“Together we fought, we won and we sometimes lost, always picking ourselves up even in the face of disappointment,” he added. “We were part of a group, that group, our group. I didn't think he would leave so soon.”
Cappelletti posted a photo of herself and her husband on Instagram with the caption "per sempre" which means "forever".

Later on, she shared a photo of the former striker, with the words, “Grazie Di Tutto Pablito” which means “thank you for everything Pablito”

The former striker died at the age 64, following a battle with illness. He has scored 20 goals in 48 appearances for the Italian national side, including six during the team's World Cup triumph in 1982.
He also two Serie A titles, a European Cup and a Coppa Italia during a successful club career with Juventus and AC Milan, earning the endearing nickname "Pablito".
