The Italian government announced that Italy and Norway have agreed to enhance their bilateral relations by implementing a joint Declaration of Intent on commercial cooperation between the two nations.
According to a statement released by the Italian Council of Ministers on Monday, Italian Prime Minister (PM) Giorgia Meloni met with Norwegian Prime Minister (PM) Jonas Gahr Støre in the capital, Rome.
During the meeting, the two leaders agreed to bolster industrial partnerships in key strategic sectors such as energy, space, and critical minerals.
They also emphasized cooperation in the maritime and defense sectors.
The talks included an exchange of views on major issues on the international agenda, including trade, European security, support for Ukraine, transatlantic cooperation, and developments in the Mediterranean region.
