Raffaele Piemontese, the deputy head of the Puglia region in Italy, announced that civil defense personnel found in the south of the province the wreckage of a helicopter that was carrying 7 people, all of whom were killed.
The helicopter Agusta A109 belonging to a local transport company this morning disappeared from radar in Castelpagano di Apricena, a rural area of the Puglia region, sparking search efforts by the air force and fire brigade.
Two crew members and five passengers were on the helicopter, which took off from the Tremiti Islands in the Adriatic in the morning, including a 13-year-old girl. Four people from the same family are from Slovenia.
The wreckage of the plane was found near the town of Aprichina in Prefecture Foggia.
