Italian Tourist Killed in Caribbean Shark Attack

An Italian tourist was killed on Friday after being attacked by a shark off the Colombian island in the Caribbean, according to local media.

The man, named in Italy as Antonio Staccialini, 56 died after he went swimming near a cliff when he was attacked by a shark.

A senior Colombian navy official Told AFP that "he is really dead."

Local Channel "Teleislas" reported that the unusual attack took place in an area known as La Piscinita on the southeast side of San Andrés in the Caribbean Sea, about 380 km off the coast of Nicaragua.

The local media said that the shark attack occurred in an area with few swimmers.
