Italian Prime Minister (PM) Giorgia Meloni emphasized the necessity of establishing strong and effective security guarantees for Ukraine in coordination with European and Western partners, as well as the United States.
This statement came during a meeting on Wednesday between Meloni and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, and Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto.
The meeting took place ahead of her participation in a conference on peace and security in Ukraine, scheduled to be held in Paris tomorrow.
The discussions focused on the implementation and monitoring of a ceasefire in Ukraine, as well as the potential role of the United Nations in the process, an initiative supported by the Italian government.
