Italian Airways ITA announced the extension of its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until May 18.
The Italian company stated in a statement Friday that, due to geopolitical developments in the Middle East, it has decided to extend the suspension of flights to Israel until May 18.
International airlines had previously announced the suspension or cancellation of flights to Tel Aviv following a missile attack by the Houthi group in Yemen on Israel's main Ben Gurion International Airport.
Air Europa
Spanish airline Air Europa announced the cancellation of flights the day after tomorrow, Sunday, between Tel Aviv and Madrid, due to the situation in Israel.
The company stated in a statement published by the Israeli newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, today, Friday, that international airlines canceled their flights over the past week due to fears of a recurring Houthi missile attack.
A missile crashed near the access road to Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning, temporarily halting takeoffs and landings.
It is worth noting that Air Europa is part of SkyTeam, a major airline alliance that includes Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic, KLM, and Air France, among other global partners.
