“Anatolia”, a Turkish news agency, revealed that that Israel’s President Yitzchak Hertzog paid a state- visit to Turkey today, Wednesday.
Observers say that visit will pave the way for a new era of economic and political relations between Ankara and Tel Aviv after a period of tensions between the two capitals on the background of attacks on Palestinian civilians in the Giza Strip.
The Turkish agency indicated that Herzog’s visit to Ankara is the first of its kind since 2008.
He is going to discuss with his Turkish counterpart steps that may be taken to improve cooperation between the two countries.
