Hundreds of Israelis demonstrated in front of the home of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to demand the release of prisoners held by the Palestinian Hamas movement and other Israeli resistance groups in the Gaza Strip.
Herzog met with 80 representatives of the families of the prisoners following the demonstration, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that "Herzog met with 80 representatives of the prisoners' families" following the demonstration.

During its operation launched from Gaza, on October 7, Hamas took dozens of Israelis, including soldiers and officers, from the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip into the Strip, according to what the movement announced at the time.
