At dawn today (Thursday), Israeli warplanes launched raids on the Gaza Strip, after firing rockets at southern Israel.
Accoridng to German News Agency (DPA) Palestinian sources said the that the raids targeted, with two missiles, a site for armed resistant factions in the central Gaza Strip, which led to explosions and material damage, but no injuries were reported.
Hours earlier, the Israeli army (IDF) announced that it had detected two rockets being fired from Gaza toward Israel.
Later, the Israeli army announced that several rockets were launched from Gaza. No casualties were reported.
These developments come in light of the tensions taking place in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in light of the repeated storming by the Israeli police to evacuate the worshipers inside, which resulted in dozens of injuries and arrests.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the United Nations (UN) Security Council will hold an emergency closed session today to discuss the intrusion by settler gangs under the protection of the police and army forces in Israel.
