Israeli forces have renewed their bombardment of Damascus, targeting areas surrounding the "Sayyida Zeinab" neighborhood. The strikes reportedly caused several injuries and material damage.
According to "Sham FM" radio, the Israeli aggression focused on three locations: the Sayyida Zeinab city, the vicinity of Damascus International Airport, and the area around the town of Najha. Preliminary reports indicate injuries, although details on the extent of the damages remain scant.
A military source told SANA news agency that around 6:05 PM today, Israeli forces launched an aerial assault from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting several civilian sites south of Damascus, resulting in some material losses.
Syria has repeatedly warned of the repercussions of ongoing Israeli attacks on its territory, which could lead to an uncontrollable escalation of violence in the region.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry stated, "Israel’s continuous aggressions reflect its failure and the rising hysteria due to Syria’s resilience against all attempts by Israel and terrorist forces to weaken it. Syria remains committed to its stance in supporting the Palestinian people and their efforts to liberate their land and insists on the reclamation of the occupied Syrian Golan."
