Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday morning under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, as cited by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), around 693 settlers entered the mosque compound in coordinated groups, performing Talmudic rituals near the Dome of the Rock.
The report noted that these incursions have intensified since the beginning of the ongoing war, which Palestinians describe as a campaign of extermination, marking a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of the sanctity of the holy site.
Such actions, Palestinian officials warn, fuel rising tensions in Jerusalem and across the occupied territories, as Israeli settlers—often backed by police—continue to enter the Al-Aqsa compound, provoking confrontations and heightening fears of broader unrest.
